The Northumberland Line is featured as a case study by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) as part of its ‘What is Civil Engineering?’ initiative.
The project has improved access to jobs, education and services, supporting local businesses and skills, and providing a more sustainable alternative to travelling by car.
The Northumberland Line is a great example of how civil engineering can reconnect communities, unlock economic opportunity and create a lasting social legacy. We are proud to be part of the team that made it happen. Northumberland County Council, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, AECOM – Transportation, Network Rail, Northern, SLC Property and more!
